Default View Party Members' Skills and Attributes

You should have an option to view a party members' (in order to prevent exploitation) skills, attributes, and armor. Viewing skills and attributes will help people form the perfect build for Masters groups in Cantha or may help alleviate the the rank-tensions in HA/TA. Plus, it prevents idiots W/Mos from getting into group with Mending.

Of course, it would be togglable. But still, it can be a help to prove your skill.

"Show me your moves!"

Unless you personally get the option to not allow anyone to see your skills ... /notsigned...

I do not want people looking into how I personally choose to play my character and keep/boot me based on that. This will just bring in more "leetism" that is already too high with all these cookie cutter builds that everyone -must- use in order to get anything done.

No thank you.

'Nuff said. There are so many different variations to so many different builds that people would just boot you because they don't like your build or whatever. It would basically force everyone to have the most popular "leet build" of the day.

Ditto what they said. It would allow too many people to micro manage other peoples playing style. And while it would be great for a team that wants to easily coordinate every little detail(it really helps if monks don't carry too many duplicate spells), for most people it would just be an opening for discrimination. I'd agree if there were a button to hit to not let someone see your skill set it would help, but then you'd simply have almost everyone using it. And possibly "you won't show me ur skill set?"*kicked.

Agree with the last 3 posts completly. Definitly will greatly limit people who dont use cookie-cutter builds. Discrimination is already bad enough without making it worse.

I don't need some jerkoff who only respects one certain build to know or tell me how to construct my build. If I knew it was estabishing relations with intellegent players I would appreciate this idea, but I already know that most players only understand a few builds and only respect those they know, so this is very determental.

It is bad enough to be certain classes which people do not respect, being judged on exactly how my build is will be even worse.

i wouldn't mind see skills really, kinda implies the attributes, i don't want to put people in cookie cutter builds, but it does help to organize things.

edit: unfortunally yeah... with people who understand it works, in the average pug >_> sigh it wouldn't.

As I said, this can only help people who need every issue coordinated. The examples apply: Masters and HA/TA.

This, of course, isn't for the PuG. However, if they require your skillset and kick you because of it, the problem is either them, or you.

Again, I've said this about all PuGs, but cookie-cutter builds are never at fault. It's the people.

its an interesting idea but hardly a new one

there is an answer to this already tho..TS/vent, i know not everyone uses and not everyone wants to use it but the option is there. Still it would be interesting to see this idea working in some kind of beta test over a weekend or something

I think someone else already posted a request for this exact same thing. The OP of that thread said he was tired of questing with noobs and getting stuck in one part of the game just because he couldn't find a reasonable group. The first 4 or 5 responses to that thread were all flames calling the OP an elitist jerk.

Then someone posted the idea that it should be togglable so that not everyone had to show their builds and whatnot. Everyone who posted after that response shot the toggling idea down as well because then you'd just get groups that would kick people for not showing their build.

So in the end, it was concluded that an idea like this would only bring about more difficulty in getting into a PUG. The thread and it's idea was forgotten and nobody spoke of it again.
